Although the real estate market seems to be softening a little in general, property in Mt Washington and Shepherdsville seems to be holding steady. There are several subdivisions in the making around the area and I will do some snooping and let you know more about all of the subdivisions around the area. There have been reports that there is over 300 empty homes in Spencer County and as many as 8 being sold a the courthouse steps each month. When I asked a local builder why he thought housing was slowing so much in Spencer County he said that when gas prices went up that home sales pretty much stopped.
